Headlining tonight's meeting was a presentation by the Washtenaw County Drain Commission regarding plans for alleviation of Earhart Road flooding.   This came as a surprise to everyone.  More surprising was the cost to the Township: $108,915.75, accompanied by a note asking (politely) if we wanted to pay a lump sum or pay over time like other municipal credit addicts.

The Board voted to table indefinitely further consideration of building a new meeting room.  The straw that broke the camel's back was the unexpected $108,915 Earhart Road  assessment.  In closing this chapter, Manager Fink appealed to everyone for any ideas for possible non-profit or governmental agencies to rent the Township Hall's second floor.
